Notes

  • Requires 13 Strength and 11 Dexterity, and weighs 9.5. Standard Physical scaling favors Strength, with a smaller Dexterity contribution.
  • It is a curved greatsword, separate from the smaller Scimitar in the Curved Sword class. Two weapons from those different classes do not give a paired curved-greatsword moveset.
  • The broad Slash attacks can catch several nearby enemies. Its heavier animation still needs an opening; the modest requirements do not make it attack at ordinary Scimitar speed.
  • Spinning Slash costs 6 FP for the opening and 12 for its follow-up, for 18 FP total. Shard of Alexander improves that skill rather than every ordinary slash.
  • Has no innate Blood Loss. Blood or Cold affinity can add status, but changes the weapon's damage and coating eligibility.
  • Heavy shifts the emphasis toward Strength, while Keen favors Dexterity. The requirements describe what is needed to wield it, rather than the best final stat spread for every affinity.
  • Uses ordinary Smithing Stones to +25. Can use compatible Ashes of War. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
  • Heavy Knight begins with it. Other classes can buy the same weapon for 2,400 runes from the eastern Limgrave merchant near Fort Haight, without changing class or completing the fort.
  • Requires the additional weapon content. Its availability outside the Realm of Shadow does not mean it appears in an installation without those additions.
