Consecrated Snowfield

Starting Site of Grace: Inner Consecrated Snowfield

Before you go

  • Use both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion at Grand Lift of Rold to reach Consecrated Snowfield.
  1. Obtain the right Haligtree Secret Medallion half from Albus in Village of the Albinaurics, beneath southwestern Liurnia's plateau. Follow the village path uphill past the perfumer, reveal the large pot before the bridge and speak to Albus. Stop attacking once he appears.
  2. Obtain the left half from the rooftop beyond Commander Niall in Castle Sol. After defeating Niall, go through the exit behind his arena, ride the tower lift and collect the half beside the seated spirit. It is a separate pickup from his direct weapon reward.
  3. Return to the Grand Lift of Rold and switch the action to Hoist secret medallion. Follow Hidden Path to the Haligtree through to the snowy exit. The ordinary Rold Medallion goes to the other part of the Mountaintops.
  4. Activate Consecrated Snowfield grace near the exit. For Inner Consecrated Snowfield, continue north through the blizzard until the open ground becomes clearer; keep the grace as a safe return point.
  5. Use Inner Consecrated Snowfield as your starting point and travel southwest during the day. Find the moving carriage pulled by two trolls.
  6. Strike a troll or stop the escort so the carriage comes to a halt. Work around to its rear platform and open the chest for Flowing Curved Sword. Watch for the guards behind the carriage while you loot.
  7. You do not need to defeat the two Night's Cavalry for the sword. They appear with this convoy at night, so using the daytime route avoids those extra bosses.

Notes

  • Requires 9 Strength and 17 Dexterity, and weighs 3.5. Standard favors Dexterity over Strength. Keen emphasizes Dexterity, while Heavy provides a Strength-focused alternative; the better attack power depends on your actual stats.
  • Upgrade with Smithing Stones to +25. Can use compatible Ashes of War. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
  • Its dancing heavy attack hits twice, and its fully charged heavy attack hits three times. Those extra contacts distinguish it from the usual curved-sword heavy attacks and help build successive-hit bonuses.
  • The ordinary heavy chain applies a total of 150% of the weapon's listed status buildup when both hits connect; the fully charged attack applies 200% across its three hits. It has no innate ailment, so this matters after adding a suitable affinity or buff.
  • Dancer clothing improves these dancing heavy attacks by 2.5% per qualifying piece, about 10.4% with all four. That does not boost every attack made with the sword.
  • Spinning Slash is its starting skill, costing 6 FP for the opening spin and another 12 FP for the follow-up. It is separate from the dancing heavy attacks and can be replaced.
  • On Keen, some independent projectile skills have slightly reduced Dexterity scaling compared with the ordinary Keen upgrade pattern. Its displayed melee damage and Spinning Slash are separate from that projectile exception.
  • Successive-hit talismans reward landing the full sequence, but an enemy can move out before the last hit. Winged Sword Insignia and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia cannot be equipped together.
  • Its critical rating is 100. The sword is in the convoy chest, while the Night's Cavalry outfit is the separate reward for beating both mounted escorts at night.
