Where to find
Before you go
- Have access to the Tarnished Edition additions and choose Idus Knight.
- Idus Knight starts with Idus Sword. Other classes can collect the same weapon in southern Liurnia.
Liurnia of the Lakes
Starting Site of Grace: Liurnia Lake Shore
Before you go
- Have access to the Tarnished Edition additions.
- Reach Liurnia Lake Shore below the Lake-Facing Cliffs. From the lakeside merchant, travel northwest toward the start of Laskyar Ruins.
- Follow the rock wall beneath Malefactor's Evergaol rather than climbing onto its plateau. Find the tree guarded by two bell-ringing Revenant Followers.
- Collect the sword from the corpse beside that tree. Deal with the followers first if their pursuing projectiles are making the pickup unsafe; entering the academy is unnecessary.
Notes
- Requires 10 Strength and 15 Dexterity, and weighs 7. Standard Physical scaling favors Dexterity, with weaker Strength scaling.
- Belongs to Light Greatswords. Its flowing attacks and long blade differ from a normal Greatsword, and those two weapon classes do not pair into the same dual-wield moveset.
- Has higher starting Physical damage than Milady but weaker attribute scaling. That makes its early access useful without establishing it as stronger at every upgrade and stat spread.
- Its heavy, charged heavy, running heavy and jumping heavy attacks include multiple contacts. Added status follows each contact's buildup modifier instead of applying the full displayed amount on every small hit.
- Has no innate Blood Loss. A compatible status affinity can add buildup if you want to use those repeated contacts for an ailment.
- Impaling Thrust is the starting skill and costs 9 FP. It is a forward thrust that bypasses much of a guard, separate from the weapon's ordinary heavy sequence.
- Can use Wing Stance as an optional compatible Ash. It does not start with that stance merely because it is a Light Greatsword.
- Uses ordinary Smithing Stones to +25. Can use compatible Ashes of War. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- Idus Knight starts with the sword, and the lakeside corpse gives another route for other classes. No academy key, boss defeat or Realm of Shadow access is needed for that selected pickup.
- Requires the additional weapon content. Its availability outside the Realm of Shadow does not mean it appears in an installation without those additions.
