In-game description
Glaive made from a hard, sharpened shell. Wielded by the pests who emerged from the Swamp of Aeonia.
Slightly increases non-physical damage negation.
Though men might recognize the keen intellect of the pests evidenced by this spear's uncanny design, it will never be understood by them.

Starting Site of Grace: Sellia Crystal Tunnel
- Enter Sellia Crystal Tunnel, northwest of Sellia. From the grace, go up the passage into the large mining chamber with wooden huts and platforms.
- Defeat the pale, insect-like Kindred of Rot carrying glaives and check their drops. Their ranged threads can hit you while you fight another enemy, so try to pull one away from the group. Rest and repeat if the glaive does not drop.
- If you arrive through Dragon-Burnt Ruins' transporter trap, leave the hut, go downhill through the tunnel and climb down to the grace. Rest there and walk outside before trying to fast travel away; fighting the tunnel boss is unnecessary.
Notes
- With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Dexterity, with weaker Strength scaling.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
- Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- While held, it slightly improves your magic, fire, lightning and holy damage negation.
- Requires 13 Strength and 13 Dexterity and weighs 7. Dexterity is its stronger Standard attribute, making it a relatively light halberd option.
- While held, it reduces incoming Magic, Fire, Lightning and Holy damage by 2% in both PvE and PvP. It does not reduce Physical damage or improve resistance to status buildup.
- This passive works without blocking. It combines multiplicatively with armor and other damage negation, rather than adding two percentage points to every displayed total.
- The passive belongs to the held glaive, so keeping it only in an inactive equipment slot does not provide the bonus. Reinforcement improves the weapon without increasing this fixed defensive effect.
- Starts with Spinning Slash for 6 FP and a 12-FP follow-up. The player weapon does not launch Pest Threads just because its enemy owners can do so.
- It has no innate Scarlet Rot or Poison. An affinity or compatible coating is needed if you want ordinary hits to apply a status effect.
- The base drop chance is 4% at 100 Item Discovery from eligible glaive-carrying Kindred of Rot. Sellia Crystal Tunnel offers a repeatable farm without defeating its Fallingstar Beast.
